The role will play a vital role in supporting, guiding and influencing the PMS and Sesame distribution teams and maximising the effectiveness of the distribution function.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with the Group Director – Mortgages and Protection, other members of the Executive team and the Senior Leadership team to ensure the effective operation and implementation of Distribution activities and strategy.
  • Build and maintain knowledge and understanding of the overall business strategy to ensure links are clear in Distribution activities and facilitate connections across the functions.
  • To represent the Distribution teams to be a voice for the Distribution business internally, representing Sesame and PMS customers in projects, working groups, committees and initiatives where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the senior leaders within PMS and Sesame to co-ordinate communications and engagement across the function to ensure a joined-up approach.
  • Design, organise and co-ordinate meetings for the Group Director – Mortgages and Protection, drive the agenda, produce minutes with PA, follow up on operational plans, ensuring they are aligned to strategic priorities and achieved in a timely manner.
  • Identify and escalate potential risk and issues to the Group Director – Mortgages and Protection as appropriate and ensure effective resolution.
  • Act as iCare risk nominee for Distribution focussed risks.
  • Research and source external and internal information, interpreting data and presenting ideas for discussion with the Group Director – Mortgages and Protection.
  • Proactively assisting the Group Director – Mortgages and Protection in all aspects of day to day business activities, to ensure compliance with Executive and governance responsibilities.
  • Collection and collation of monthly departmental reports, to facilitate the Executive and Board reports within the required timeframe.
  • Collation and creation of resource model and reporting for Distribution teams.
  • Design, creation and maintenance of regular sales MI reporting for Distribution teams.
  • Ensure Group Director – Mortgages and Protection adheres to the reporting schedule for the year ahead.
  • To undertake ad hoc projects and duties as and when required, to support the needs of the business or to achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications required

Essential:

  • Good basic standard of education. 
Experience required

  • Good understanding of distribution business model in Financial Services.
  • Experience of working closely with senior leadership.
  • Comprehensive minute taking and action tracking.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working on projects and managing change.
