Working with the Partnerships & Propositions team, Partnership Services and wider Sesame Bankhall Group Teams, the Proposition Delivery Partner’s primary role is to deliver the timely and efficient execution of new adviser solutions, support the Business’ wider strategic objectives.

This includes the development of new solutions from initial concept through to delivery and undertaking regular review of existing propositions to ensure solutions on offer still meet adviser needs and SBG strategic objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, build and delivery of adviser solutions to market.
  • Ownership of design and build of new adviser solutions – creation of initial concept with consideration to adviser needs, commercial value & alignment to strategic objectives.
  • To support proposition concept design & build provide evidence-driven insight (market intelligence, internal stakeholder feedback and adviser testing).
  • Build new adviser solutions – facilitation of internal and external (where appropriate) working groups, with negotiation of contractual terms (where applicable).
  • Co-ordinate propositional activity with Distribution and Marketing Teams to ensure effective deployment of Take-to-Market Strategies for all propositions.
  • Drive the delivery of key proposition projects and initiatives in line with the propositional roadmap and company strategic objectives.
  • Ensure market and competitor trends along with adviser feedback is central to proposition definition and development.
  • Work with strategic relationship team to identify strategic partnerships to support propositional design & delivery.
  • Support Group Partnerships & Propositions Director with regular reporting on progress and status of adviser solutions design, build & delivery.
  • Work with relevant SME’s within strategic partnerships team and wider business to ensure relevant stakeholder engagement supporting propositional design & build.
  • Undertake projects as and when required, to support the needs of the business or to achieve Partnership Services department objectives.
  • Have an understanding of wider market trends across mortgage, protection, general insurance and wealth sectors.
  • Build and maintain knowledge and understanding of the overall business strategy to ensure a clear link with the functions and their activities, facilitating connections across these and the Partnership Services department.
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with all relevant stakeholders across the Group to ensure effective operation and implementation of propositional strategic priorities.
  • Ensure relevant proposition governance requirements are being completed as required across all propositions.

Qualifications required

Essential (any 1 or more of the qualifications listed below):

  • CII level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice 
  • LIBF Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice 
  • CII RO5 – Financial Protection 
  • RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning


Desirable (any of the qualifications listed below – over and above essential requirements):

    • CII level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice 
    • CII RO5 – Financial Protection 
    • CII Level 3 Certificate in Insurance
    •  RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning 
    • LIBF Diploma for Financial Advisers 
    • LIBF Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice 
    • LIBF Certificate in Protection

    Experience required:

    Essential

    • Previous role within financial services.
    • Demonstrable results in ensuring delivery of quality, error-free work, through close attention to detail.
    • Proven experience of working on propositions/delivery of change.
    • Good people skills to build effective stakeholder relationships.

    Desirable

    • Previously operating in a propositions or technical role.
    • People management experience.

    • You will require an awareness of operational and regulatory risk, which may impact on SBG. You will be responsible for reporting to their line manager any risk which may impact on the business.

    • You will be required to deliver your role competently and comply with the relevant standards and procedures, ensuring that SBG deliver a service where suitable advice is given to the end consumer, which is adequately recorded and ultimately promotes good customer outcomes. This can either be through direct influence or in a support services capacity.

    • You will be required to ensure that the Consumer Duty principle is embedded into the team’s culture, departmental procedures and practices and that management controls and MI are in place to monitor performance against the Consumer Duty principle, where these are required by the business.

    Information Security:

    • You are required to promote information security in your department, encouraging best practice by ensuring your staff comply with the information security principles, policies and procedures. You will need to monitor workplace practice in line with these policies and procedures and deal firmly with any instances of non-compliance.

    SBG’s 6 Star Service Delivery:

    • You will need to achieve 6-star service delivery through embedding the 6-star service objectives into to the team culture. You will be required to encourage and exhibit the behaviours that fit within the SBG service charters, leading the team to ensure a clear vision of what 6-star service means for the team, ensuring that service is at the forefront of decision-making processes.

    Essential Skills Required

    Critical Knowledge Required

    Strong financial services industry insight and knowledge, including understanding of some or all sectors (Mortgage, Protection, General Insurance and Wealth)
    Understanding of competitor proposition landscape in the financial adviser support space
    Technical knowledge of the financial advice market and understanding of market trends and dynamics.
