Purpose of the Role
The role will be responsible for achieving agreed business revenue targets to support Bankhall’s, PMS’s and Sesame’s recruitment in line with our strategic goals and objectives. This will be achieved by selling our propositions and services by recruiting new advisory firms.
Help to recruit new clients in line with the business plan targets. To identify and generate new client leads through a variety of mediums, marketing, sales campaigns, referrals etc.
Understand client needs and help them to build, run, grow and exit their business by raising their awareness of the professional services offered by both Bankhall and PMS.
Responsibilities
- Contact prospective clients to secure new business opportunities. This will involve following up of marketing campaigns and initiatives and proactively reaching out to new potential clients.
- Fully understand the SBG business services, propositions, charging structure, business objectives, ambition and demonstrate an ability to articulate the message of our competitive position in the marketplace.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how the client business works – their current position, future aspirations and how the SBG business can partner with them to make life easier.
- Specialist knowledge of regulatory and compliance market trends and best practices with comprehensive knowledge of the IFA and mortgage and protection market.
- Create and deliver content to support co-ordinated marketing campaigns to achieve lead generation for new revenue opportunities.
- Proactively seek to raise the SBG brand profile, via f2f or online exposure such as external events, social media activities.
- Working with the Consulting Director, take ownership and delivery of regular DA and AR webinar / podcasts programme – supporting both internal and external channels.
- Attendance at MEL/PEL & Cluster meetings ensuring delivery of key regulatory/compliance updates.
- Identify opportunities from internal and external data sources to drive through new lead and business opportunities.
- To be a voice and presence in the financial services market and internally, including being a spokesperson at client events.
- Conduct fact finds and Horizon scanning outputs to obtain market data and identify service opportunities on prospective clients.
- As a minimum, meet annual revenue targets as confirmed by the business.
- Complete a minimum of calls, as agreed, per week to potential new contacts to discuss and agree appointments.
- Create and produce accurate MI reporting, via D365, identifying trends and outcomes to support with insight to business propositions, services and solutions.
- Proactively manage the onboarding of new firms, through to hand off to relevant CRM or TAM for ongoing maintenance of relationships.
- Collaborate closely with all areas of the SBG service delivery ensuring we meet and exceed our aligned client targets/ market share and service expectations.
- Working in conjunction with the DA Distribution Director, and Consultancy Director, lead and support the new business tender process including leading the creation and presentation of pitch packs to win new business.
- Take ownership for the collation of competitor activity, analysis and wider market intelligence.
- Support the Consultancy Director to provide content and present (as required) at National conferences and regional events.
- Take personal responsibility for the delivery of your PDP akin to deliverables expected within this role.
- To undertake ad hoc projects and duties as and when required, to support the needs of the business or to achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications required
Desirable
- Compliance and risk qualifications
- Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) or working towards completion within a maximum of 2 years of recruitment.
Experience required
Essential
- A broad range of regulatory knowledge encompassing FCA and wider business solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving outstanding sales results within Directly Authorised Financial Services recruitment.
- Confidence to work on own initiative to create and maintain a minimum pipeline.
- Experience of developing and successfully delivering advisor business solutions.
- Experience within a commercial environment and within the Financial Services, Wealth Market.
- Self-motivated with high levels of energy and commitment to focus on achieving business and personal goals and maximising opportunities.
- Track record of operating successfully on an individual basis and in a team environment.
- Home working experience.
Our Expectations
Our Approach to Risk Management
- You will require an awareness of operational and regulatory risk, which may impact on SBG. You will be responsible for reporting to their line manager any risk which may impact on the business.

- You will be required to deliver your role competently and comply with the relevant standards and procedures, ensuring that SBG deliver a service where suitable advice is given to the end consumer, which is adequately recorded and ultimately promotes good customer outcomes.
