To support the Commercial and Financial Strategy Director with providing Financial Support to SBG Executive and Business areas to ensure that it becomes an integral part of the business management process.
To support Internal and External stakeholders with financial data, using the wide pool of Sesame Bankhall Group data sources. To provide analysis, interpretation, and insight of this financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of SBG monthly reports to the SBG Board, External, Stakeholders, Executive and Senior Management, reports to be produced in line with the Finance Month end timetable.
  • To support Executive and Management Teams through detailed Data analysis reporting, covering Membership statistics, business volumes and income.
  • To provide the Executive Team & Senior Managers with accurate information to enable key business decisions to be made.
  • To support our Sales Department with Customer Profiling, Bonus Schemes set up and calculation and reporting on target performance.
  • To undertake projects as and when required, to support the needs of the business or to achieve departmental objectives.
  • To provide expert Data Insight from within the Financial Services marketplace using data from external sources.
  • Develop financial models to support capital deployment strategies and assess the financial impact of recruiting new member firms.
  • Prepare reports and deliver actionable insights on capital deployment to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build financial models to set and evaluate capital allocation targets and identify potential investment opportunities

Personal profile

Qualifications required 

Essential

  • Graduate level, or equivalent, Finance Degree

Experience required

Essential

  • Frequent exposure to Microsoft Excel

Desirable

  • Experience of Financial Services
  • Previous experience of a Data Analysis function

  • You will require an awareness of operational and regulatory risk, which may impact on SBG. You will be responsible for reporting to their line manager any risk which may impact on the business.

  • You will be required to deliver your role competently and comply with the relevant standards and procedures, ensuring that SBG deliver a service where suitable advice is given to the end consumer, which is adequately recorded and ultimately promotes good customer outcomes. This can either be through direct influence or in a support services capacity.

  • You will be required to highlight to your line manager procedures and processes that may impact on SBG’s ability to deliver good outcomes for retail customers and/or may lead to foreseeable harm. Where possible and relevant to your department, put forward suggestions that could positively impact the outcomes achieved by retail customers.

  • You will need to be aware of all information security principles, policies and procedures and ensure these are followed on a day-to-day basis. You will be required to remain vigilant at all times and report any security concerns, suspicions and/or breaches in a timely manner.
