That’s why we’re celebrating International Women’s Day by dedicating all of March to focus on the effects of what has been called "the great equaliser": the COVID-19 pandemic.

We’ve all experienced the pandemic differently. But how have some of the global trends outlined in our infographic affected the people we work with every day? To bring this to life, some of our SBG colleagues have taken a few minutes to share their experiences of the last 12 months.

Throughout March, we’ve been celebrating International Women’s Day. This month, we’ve placed the focus on women’s experiences during the pandemic, and the ways in which pre-existing inequalities, prejudices and bias have led to specific challenges that have been disproportionately experienced by women.

Now, to round off the month, we’ve caught-up with SBG’s CEO Michele Golunska, to get her thoughts on the broader issues facing gender equality. Michele shares her own experiences as a female leader in a man’s world, and shares further details on some of the initiatives SBG is undertaking to help improve equality in the workplace.
